When Graeme and his boys welcomed Georgie, the golden retriever to their family, they contacted me to have some updated photos taken. I have been photographing the boys for most of their lives now so meeting this new, foofy family member was pretty exciting. :)

A family celebration can be so much fun to capture. When I was asked to attend a wedding anniversary for an extended family and some of their closest friends I was thrilled to say yes.
How precious to have the afternoon captured so you can enjoy the time and not worry about who is taking the photos! The family were able to casually hang out with each other as I went about snapping and we managed to take some relaxed family photos too for each group there. Here is just a small snippet of what was taken on the day. (Note: consent has been given for these photos to be shared). Is there anything as precious as a new baby? I don't think so. 😊
This little bubba was welcomed into his family by his mum and dad and very eager big sister and brothers! Meeting them in their home when Michel was only days old and still super fresh and squishy meant lots of gorgeous snugly shots and watching his siblings fall in love with him. Sally was the winner of my 2 year celebration giveaway and back in October we shot her session. Sally, along with Chloe and Jack, sporting their holiday glow, were totally comfortable in front of the camera being themselves. There was lots of talking about their recent time away and snuggles abounded! I was really delighted when Sally's number came up as the winner of this session- a most deserving winner!

When a husband or wife contacts me to arrange a surprise gift for the other, I get extra excited! This time, the family and I met in a beautiful park in Surrey Hills. The light was golden and the leaves gloriously crunchy. They were just right for throwing and rolling in! With grandparents, parents and a very special auntie, we made sure that every relationship was captured.
I love this feedback from the session- "I think in the years to come as we look at the photos, we'll remember the fun we had as a family as well as having the amazing photos as a tangible reminder." THIS is what I aim for. All the time. What a gorgeous family this is! Karen and Mark are the wonderful parents of little Liam.
We met in their home on a freezing and very wet Sunday afternoon for the first part of their lifestyle session. We had planned to venture to Canterbury Gardens afterwards however we weren't overly optimistic that the weather would allow it. Amazingly, after a peaceful time at home, relaxing on the couch, enjoying tummy time and some milk before a nap (for Liam, not us!), the weather cleared and we raced out to take advantage of it. Lots of snuggling to keep warm, enjoying the glorious light and the last of the autumn leaves together and our time together was complete. I love lifestyle sessions and being able to capture such different feels in two locations. Yesterday the sun was shining and I decided to get my little guy and I out of the house for a walk and a play in the leaves. He brought along his bubbles that we bought the day before. I ran back to grab my camera and I'm so glad that I did. It's so precious to me to have photos of my family as they are right now. This is my Sam. Messy haired. Truck loving. Happy in his own activity. Content having time with mum. I love him... and I know that I will look back at this photo in even a years time and be so grateful that I stopped to record this season of bubbles and leaves. If you had to choose how you would like your family to relate to each other, I think that this one would be a great model to aspire towards. Amy and Frank are wonderfully relaxed and down to earth parents and their boys Campbell and Wilson have the most gorgeous bond. I loved watching these guys interact so naturally together and with Campbell's partner, Courtney. The time flew as we chatted over life and work. Amy and her business partner started Eastside Midwives and Counselling to support the families of Melbourne through their journey of pregnancy, birth and early parenting. As I have such a love of these things and a longing to photograph more births, it was fascinating to spend time with someone so passionate and experienced in the area. Lots of genuine moments captured in this fun session.
