A family celebration can be so much fun to capture. When I was asked to attend a wedding anniversary for an extended family and some of their closest friends I was thrilled to say yes.
How precious to have the afternoon captured so you can enjoy the time and not worry about who is taking the photos! The family were able to casually hang out with each other as I went about snapping and we managed to take some relaxed family photos too for each group there. Here is just a small snippet of what was taken on the day. (Note: consent has been given for these photos to be shared).

Is there anything as precious as a new baby? I don't think so. 😊
This little bubba was welcomed into his family by his mum and dad and very eager big sister and brothers! Meeting them in their home when Michel was only days old and still super fresh and squishy meant lots of gorgeous snugly shots and watching his siblings fall in love with him. What a gorgeous family this is! Karen and Mark are the wonderful parents of little Liam.
We met in their home on a freezing and very wet Sunday afternoon for the first part of their lifestyle session. We had planned to venture to Canterbury Gardens afterwards however we weren't overly optimistic that the weather would allow it. Amazingly, after a peaceful time at home, relaxing on the couch, enjoying tummy time and some milk before a nap (for Liam, not us!), the weather cleared and we raced out to take advantage of it. Lots of snuggling to keep warm, enjoying the glorious light and the last of the autumn leaves together and our time together was complete. I love lifestyle sessions and being able to capture such different feels in two locations. I can't describe how very lucky I felt back in January to meet little Mitchell at only 4 days old.
Each baby is a miracle but this little guy comes after many years of waiting by his patient and loving parents. I can tell that this family already has quite the cheer squad, and deservedly so! Mitch is so wanted, so loved and simply adorable! I was able to photograph this new little family in the quiet comfort of home. It was so fun to be around such a new little person again. I got to enjoy some cuddles and rocks as he settled into sleep and rest and waited patiently as he fed, was wrapped and changed. Enjoy some photos of this little man and his favourite two people. This beautiful family and I met together for a lifestyle session, beginning in their home and then taking a happy stroll to a nearby park where their young daughter enjoyed some people watching and the feeling of the breeze on her skin. Her chubby, rosy cheeks had me won over immediately and then the smiles started. It will be wonderful to watch this gorgeous girl grow.
Back in December I offered a limited number of mini-sessions in the lead up to Christmas. It so happened that two sisters booked in and we made the most of taking some photos of them together for the start. It was such a pleasure to photograph and get to know this this beautiful family for a mini-shoot back in December. From the moment we met it was fun and relaxed, with El keen to show me her dinosaur and get started with the photos! Pat was full of gorgeous smiles and I just LOVE the cuddly moments that were captured between the kids and their loving parents. Caroline and little Nina were so easy to capture as well. Those beautiful eyes and smiles from both girls were so delightful to see and photograph. I especially love being able to get mums and their children in photographs together as so often they are the ones capturing everyone else.
On a crisp early December morning ! headed to the park to photograph these two proud siblings and their new baby brother with their nenek and datok. There was exploring in the bush, stick light sabers, cheeky tongue poking and lots of cuddles- the perfect ingredients for a happy family session.
Little P is a long waited for little fighter! She lives with her beautiful parents and her four legged sister, Rosie, in the city and it's easy to see why she is so adored. Despite being ready for bed, she was happy to go with the flow, playing on the floor, kicking back with some milk and a snooze in daddy's arms during our session. It was so lovely photographing this family in their home, where everyone is relaxed and comfortable. I think that it is so precious to have photos taken in your home and to look back in the years ahead to see what has changed and what stays the same.
What a delight it was to photograph Jensen, Eve and their parents in their beautiful home. At just 4 weeks old, Eve was happiest snuggled up to mum for a snooze or a feed and Jensen blew me away with his killer dimples! Such a cutie! Watching siblings together in those early days is so special to see.
