hi! i'm beck!
I have always been a passionate memory keeper, a sentimental soul and the one with her camera in hand.
I love the simple things... golden light, chasing whales, a good laugh, a latte in a tumbler or a big mug of tea with a friend. Exploring new places, revisiting the familiar, snuggling our pets and singing loudly to 80s and 90s music. I'm working on my indoor jungle at home and still have challenges getting a good sleep at night (hello parenting!)
As a mum to two lively kids, I appreciate now, more than ever, how quickly time skips by.
And how important it is to get in the photo (yep- I need to make a point of doing this too!)
Photographs have the power to transport us back to a moment in time.
They document how life is and how it was.
They tell our stories.
They show our contentedness.
The everyday moments.
The perfect imperfection of life.
Its quirks and faces.
The way we lived.
The things we did.
These are what I capture for my family and yours. It's the closest I can get to bottling the feelings and the moments of life.
Your photographs will take you back to 'right now', will cause a sentimental 'awww' and warm your heart in the years ahead.
My style is casual, natural and relaxed. It is authentic and real.
My ultimate aim is for you all to be comfortable in front of my camera and create photos that you will LOVE.
You will walk away with a mix of candid photos and some more traditional portraits. I am way more about capturing the true person, relationships and connections than perfect hair and smudge-free faces.
My other roles, as a mum and a Primary School Teacher mean that I have a large collection of 'tricks' that I use to engage even the most lively little one or reluctant family member (I promise I've seen and heard everything)! I have a deep well of patience and understanding and daily experience with neurodiversity- autism, ADHD, anxiety doesn't scare me!
